Endocrinology subspecialist
Artur Bjelica was born in 1970 in Gorlice (Poland).
He received his primary and secondary education – majoring in biology in Novi Sad.
He began his medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad in 1989 and finished in 1995.
During 1997-2001. in 2007 he specialized in gynecology and obstetrics, and in 2007 he completed a narrow specialization in endocrinology.
He completed his master’s studies at the Faculty of Medicine in 2003, defending the thesis entitled “Pregnancy-induced hypertension – psychosomatic aspects”, and obtained the degree of doctor of medical sciences in 2004, defending the dissertation entitled “Determinants of contraceptive studies in the female student population”.
Since 2006, he has been in the position of Head of the Department for Reproductive Endocrinology at the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Central Hospital of Vojvodina.
In his clinical work, he focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of sterility, methods of assisted reproduction, as well as the treatment of disorders in the field of reproductive endocrinology.
He improved his knowledge and skills by participating in numerous domestic and international meetings, as well as during study stays in Austria, Malaysia, the Republic of South Africa and Argentina.
From 2001 to 2009, he held the position of assistant at the Department of Obstetrics at the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad, from 2009 to the position of assistant professor, and from 2014 to the position of professor at the same department.
In addition to his education in the field of medical sciences, he completed his studies in psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad in 1999, and in 2005 he obtained the title of Doctor of Psychological Sciences with a dissertation entitled “Readiness for change and achievement motive in the process of gender role modernization”.
He speaks English, Italian, French, Polish and Russian.
